How to Beat Industry-Wide Price Increases

After years of predictably flat pricing, manufacturers have been aggressively raising prices in every category of landscape and irrigation supplies. For some, they’re forced to increase by tariffs and material costs. For others, they’re seeing an opportunity to raise prices after years with no changes.

  1. We’re offering you a stock-up opportunity at the old pricing. While other distributors have immediately increased their prices, even on their existing inventories, Central is letting you make a final “stock up order” to beat the increased prices. This deal is good only through November 15th on specific product lines and is limited to stock-on hand at Central. Contact your Central representative if you want to participate. Understand this is savings of up to 25% on product you will certainly use in the months ahead. Extended payment terms are available for qualifying accounts too.
  2. We’re keeping you informed. Your Central representative can provide you the list of manufacturers that have implemented increases – and those that have signaled additional increases to come in Q1 2019. We will continue to communicate price changes to you.
  3. We can prepare revised large project quotes. If you have quoted a large project in 2018 that will ship in 2019, you will need to get an updated material cost quote. Due to the repeated increases on products like pipe, fittings and irrigation components, commercial quotes will have a shorter effective window. Collaborate with your Central representative to obtain updated quotes prior to bid. Include material cost increase clauses in your bid documents.
